This paper attempts to analyze policy proposals for the educational Argentine sector prepared by and from the private sector during the 1990s and the beginning of the 2000s. one. This study focuses on the book "An education for the XXI Century", prepared by the Fundación de Investigaciones Económicas Latinoamericanas, FIEL (Latin American Economic Research Foundation) and in the Federal Education Act of 1993. Finally, we analyze the social consequences that the implementation of such guidelines would have on the educational reality of the country.
