The present article chases the aim to contribute elements to understand the transformations happened in the labor market in last 30 years in key of gender. Especially we analized if in the frame of the growth of the feminine participation in the labor market, of an increase of the educational credentials of the women and before to the structural change in the socio-economic and political model, the firms traditionally male profile introduced transformations that stimulated, somehow, major possibilities of insertion and development of career for the women, and analyze of representations that they have on these processes. To reach our aims we show an empirical study that we realize in the oil company YPF, centred on twelve interviews with oil women workers. This firm, which has presented always a male profile of the plant workers, suffered after the 90s a process of privatization and managerial reorganization. From the empirical research we analyze concretely the opportunities offered to the women for the revenue and promotion to the interior of the company, make clear the reasons used for the above mentioned situation and recover the representations that the workers possess on the above mentioned processes.
