The rise of digital technologies legitimizes cyberspace and cyberculture as suitable territories for the study of social phenomena. We propose to link the object of digital study, as a research problem and empirical reference, with the transformations that have occurred in the discipline, providing a classification of cyberculture study strategies, and an approach of virtual / digital ethnography from a systematization of research methods and techniques.
