This article deals with the problem of languages spoken in Venezuela from the ecolinguistics perspective. The objective was to locate each language in the historical-political-social dynamics and project it towards the future. The techniques and the procedures were of theoretical and qualitative type; they were complemented with semi-structured interviews. It is concluded that awareness and education present themselves as ways to avoid linguistic and cultural homogenization of the country.
